THE COLLECTION

For his Pre Spring 2020 collection Erdem has been inspired by the intriguing way in which historical decades interpret the fashions of previous decades. In particular, he has looked to the last film directed by Italian auteur Luchino Visconti. L’Innocente is a dramatic tale of love and loss set in the Belle Epoque period, but made and released in the late 1970s.

Erdem brings the interplay between these two eras to life across the collection in a series of powerfully evocative portraits, with references that veer from Berthe Morisotto Guy Bourdin.
